Ronnie O'sullivan World Snooker Champion!

I will write up a proper post about my amazing day at the Crucible in Sheffield yesterday, but I just had to say how ecstatic I am that Ronnie O'Sullivan just won the World Snooker Championship! He is the main reason I got into and follow snooker, so I am over the moon for him. He gave an incredible performance today with centuries and his trademark canons. Congratulations Ronnie O'Sullivan!

Salford BBC Media City.

I was in Salford early one morning the other week with an hour to kill and barely any change in my pocket. So I took a wander through the new BBC Media City, which was like a ghost town, and had fun with the Instagram app which the whole world seems to use for everything now (me included). I have to say, the architecture around the river here is amazing. I also popped into the Lowery shopping centre and grabbed myself a 'congrats on my new job' handbag, before visiting the Lowry Centre itself. I think I must have watched the short film on Lowry at least twice in there.

Snow Day

I had a lovely visit from a few of my friends from uni - long trips to Leeds for them may I add! - and of course that meant a standard trip to Tropical World. If you are from Yorkshire you will be familiar with the amazing Tropical World, it seems to change every time I go (and that's quite often!) Here are a few pics. It was ironically the day that it snowed the heaviest Leeds (I couldn't resist taking a photo of the snow on a Tropical World sign) has had all winter. This resulted in us begging and searching for a taxi to take us into Leeds that evening to hit the town, which we eventually got and thankfully one home too!

Having a Stroll

I've spent a lovely three days at my Grandma's, I always try and stay with her in the holidays and we always go to Pennington Flash nature reserve as we are not-so-secret bird geeks. It was joked that I would turn this blog into a bird fest well i'll let them be right briefly! Didn't see anything out the ordinary apart from a few snipers and teal. A Sparrowhawk sat on her fence for a good half an hour today though.

The lovely view from my Uncle Geoff's bench.

Usually when huge world wide shocking news occurs, you can bet any money that every other friend on Facebook will have a status about it. Which is why it surprises me that no one seems to be interested by the volcano occurance in Iceland. I've found it fascinating, especially that for the first time ever in aviation history every plane in the UK came to a standstill and it caused so much chaos. It gives you a feeling of just how small the world has become now that travel is so easy.
Ironically I took this photo on monday or tuesday, a sight not seen for the rest of this week.

Tropical World

Went for a little trip to Tropical World with my brother this afternoon, took my new SLR for a bit of a practice. Here are a few little buddies I made today...

A Crackin' Easter

So my Easter at home in Leeds is nearly over, I've had a pretty damn good time so here are a few snippets..
