ReetSweet Valentines Fair
Exactly a month ago was Valentines day, and I was part of the ReetSweet craft fair at the Corn Exchange in Leeds that weekend. I love doing ReetSweet craft fairs, the organiser is so friendly and runs the events without any hitches. Their website is pretty amazing too! I had a good day here and had a few friendly visitors who'd come to see me and I made new friends too!

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Don't forget that my handmade fabric baskets (above) found in my shop make the perfect gift bag, which your mum can re-use for whatever she desires instead of throwing away a paper one!

Salford BBC Media City.
I was in Salford early one morning the other week with an hour to kill and barely any change in my pocket. So I took a wander through the new BBC Media City, which was like a ghost town, and had fun with the Instagram app which the whole world seems to use for everything now (me included). I have to say, the architecture around the river here is amazing. I also popped into the Lowery shopping centre and grabbed myself a 'congrats on my new job' handbag, before visiting the Lowry Centre itself. I think I must have watched the short film on Lowry at least twice in there.

My brand new toy.
I was so excited to get this that I just had to share it. My brand new bamboo! It was surprisingly bigger than I expected, and the pen is simply amazing, with a rubber on the end! It's the simple things that make me happy it would seem. Since getting it I have designed logos, posters, a book cover and all sorts and I can't wait to crack on creating new designs for the portfolio on my website.

Custom Laptop Sleeve
For those of you who might not know, not only do I sell MacBook sleeves in my shop, I make custom laptop sleeves for any size, this includes Kindles and ipads. I will always try my best to make the sleeve you want and this was my most specific briefing yet (apart from my own Alexia Claire branded one of course!) It was for one of the Directors at Snapshot Media, the digital media agency based in Leeds for his MacBook air. Maintaining the company's brand colours and featuring their logo!

Here is my own personal laptop sleeve - I've had a couple of questions about it on the train now and then!

Other laptop sleeve designs I have done can be found in my shop.

Snow Day
I had a lovely visit from a few of my friends from uni - long trips to Leeds for them may I add! - and of course that meant a standard trip to Tropical World. If you are from Yorkshire you will be familiar with the amazing Tropical World, it seems to change every time I go (and that's quite often!) Here are a few pics. It was ironically the day that it snowed the heaviest Leeds (I couldn't resist taking a photo of the snow on a Tropical World sign) has had all winter. This resulted in us begging and searching for a taxi to take us into Leeds that evening to hit the town, which we eventually got and thankfully one home too!

A much needed catch up
I haven't blogged properly in a while, shameful I know, but at the same time it has been for very good reasons, and also means that I have a lot to share about! I have had visits from uni friends, as well as paid visits of my own. I have had snow days, design days, craft days you name it! Not to mention landing a new and very exciting job! I have attended a couple of craft fairs (with more to come) had a few awesome nights on the town with friends and helped out with volunteer projects. So watch this space for lots of bloggingly good content!
