Joining the bandwagon

I've finally after two years of managing to avoid it.. given up and got myself an iphone. I'm an apple girl through and through always have been really from my dad's influence, so I've finally got one. since then I've been on the hunt for a really nice but affordable iphone sleeve because those who know me will agree I'm quite careless! (another reason I put off getting one) I gave up the hunt and tried my hand at making a few of my own. At the time I made these I decided I might try sell them too.

Easter break

When I came home for easter this time, I was all prepared with some fresh ideas for makes and some lovely new fabrics to make them out of. I got a lift home from uni so that I could take my sewing machine with me... I got home, cut out my patterns and fabric pieces... set up my sewing machine, only to find I'd left my pedal back at uni. Gutted. So an old friend's mum kindly lent me her Bernina sewing machine which was a dream to use compared to my cheapo Argos toyota!

Long story short here are a couple of the things I made in the few days I had the machine for...

This was a little commission for my friend emma, she saw a skirt that I'd made myself and asked for one making and she chose the fabric etc. I posted it to her and it took about 2 months to get to her about 80 miles away. Fail!

I made these little baskets for my mum's school's market stall. They have a stall on Wetherby market once a year selling the plants the students have grown, so they sold these baskets with a few little plants in them

Hootie treats

I made these little fellas to go in my mum and grandma's crackers last year. I've been having a spring clean on my laptop and found this photo the other day!
